Em August is a comedian, writer, and actor whose sketches have amassed millions of views across YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, proving that years of theater can, in fact, be successfully redirected towards making strangers laugh on the internet. Known for her fast-paced historical parodies, modern character comedy, and situational comedy that spirals well past the point of reasonable decision-making, Em’s work lives somewhere between smart satire and silly nonsense.

Her social audience of over a million followers comes for the characters, but accidentally stays for the sharp writing underneath the chaos… and probably also her dumpy.

Originally from New York, Em’s comedic style mixes theater training, film timing, and pure comedic instinct. She’s collaborated with major comedy players, performed at UCB, contributed to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and is currently based in Los Angeles, developing original projects for digital and television.
